We have evaluated whether image recognition AI can distinguish antimicrobial susceptible/resistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae. The results suggested that drug-resistant strains with mutations related to the outer membrane of the bacteria could be distinguished from drug-susceptible strains using image recognition AI.
