背景
Elizabethkingia meningoseptica （E. meningoseptica）は、新生児や免疫不全者における髄膜炎、肺炎、敗血症の原因となり、グラム陰性菌に対する多くの抗生物質に耐性を持つ。E. meningoseptica は自然環境と病院の両方に存在するが、バイオフィルムを形成する能力があるため、院内感染を引き起こし、特に新生児集中治療室（NICU）での集団発生が報告されている。 抗菌薬感受性試験（AST）のガイドラインがなく治療法も確立されていないため、患者の予後は不良である。本論文では、同時にNICUに入室した、リスク因子を持つ新生児における遅発性敗血症の3症例を紹介する。
